Bloke’s paper airplanes can be seen flying all of New York City. Originally from the Bay Area, BLOKE has been living in NYC for 2 years. While he has been making art for his entire life, he has been writing Bloke for the past 4 years. While he has gallery experience under his proper name, he has only previously shown as BLOKE at the Blow Gallery as well as Factory Fresh for the 2012 show. BLOKE draws influence from European writers, incorporating a love for anything that flies or floats. He looks to achieve motion in stillness with his trademark aircraft images, essentially elevating his art in the process. Bringing a heavy bi-coastal style, BLOKE loves using fat caps and writing legible letters. With clever iconography and distinct writing skills, BLOKE has established himself on the streets.
